Glamorous supermodel Kate Moss is out to prove her penchant for scents, launching a second one for brand label Coty. The perfume’s name, Velvet Hour, is inspired by her love of the dusk - the time of day when she feels most comforted.
Well, after a hectic modeling day, I suppose the night calls out to initiate the beginning of rest and slumber for the overworked soul. Or perhaps she feels unencumbered by appointments and can finally have some time off to unwind…
Combining patchouli, sandalwood and incense along with amber, nutmeg and freesia, the fragrance is reported to be launched in September and will be accompanied by both print adverts, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and a TV campaign directed by John Mathieson.

An abaya is a long, flowing outer garment that covers the whole body except the face, hands and feet , worn by Islamic women belonging to elite and royal families. In the fashion scene, an abaya could be equivocal to a long caftan.
Recently, long-time British couturier Bruce Oldfield designed one of these traditional dresses using the finest black silk taffeta embellished by diamonds and embroidery. This particular abaya bears a staggering retail price of $365,000 and will be the highlight of the luxury Saudi Gulf Luxury Trade Fair which takes place in London in August to help boost British exports.
Oldfield is famous for designing royalty frocks for heiress brides including Jemima Khan, her mother Lady Annabel Goldsmith, Samantha Cameron, Lady Tamara Grosvenor and Queen Rania of Jordan. He also dresses some of Hollywood’s most glamorous women, including Sienna Miller, Angelica Houston, Barbra Streisand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Melanie Griffith, Charlotte Rampling and Faye Dunaway.

How they came up with the $383,609 price tag, I have no idea. Is it shatter-free?
In totality, this Dolce and Gabanna eye wear model looks just like any other high-end designer sunglasses with that distinct golden brown tint that could be handsome when hit by a streak of sunlight. But then again who needs sunglasses that expensive? I would rather get some nice $2000 leather handbag, some fashionable wedges and boots, a lavish coat for the coming cold months, a complete wardrobe change and shop shop shop till i drop!!!
Some people consider having a pair of gorgeous sunglasses a necessity, I understand. Well, this piece wont disappoint you I suppose. Molded in sexy golden rims and a soothing shade of brown, then the D&G model DG2027B is your kind of thing.

Truly one of the most unique designs I have ever set eyes on, the zipper necklace created by Gino Fontana has a chain made of 18k yellow gold and a white gold stopper and handle encrusted with diamonds. The piece works just like your regular zipper does, but indeed oozing with the lavish glint of precious stones and metals.
Somehow too extravagant to be used for its very purpose, the zipper necklace can perform as a fashionable statement piece when worn with rocker-type of clothing. I cannot imagine wearing the piece with something as formal as a chiffon top, but if you’re the kind who loves to experiment, then perhaps you can get away with it!
With a hefty price tag of $13918, this bling can be a conversation piece among critics. And if you are into collecting one-of-a-kind jewelery pieces, this could be a fantastic addition. Get your yo’ outfit ready for some rockin’!

Luxury brand label Hermes seems to be fascinated by Indian art, as their new scarf collection for Autumn/Winter 2008 is mainly inspired by the mystical prints and colors that is so reminiscent of India. It is the same theme that also inspired the previous Summer/Spring 2008 collection.
The use of vibrant colors and geometric patterns are prevalent in the recent collection, plus a generous display of popular images in the Indian culture, that of elephants and ceremonial scenes. The materials used are silk and cashmere, some scarves embellished with embroidery, sequins and glass beads.
Hermes is indeed gearing into a humanitarian role - a certain percentage of the sale from the new scarves will go to a special foundation to benefit the children of India in the effort of providing education throughout the country.

Vivia Ferragamo started designing for the family business in the year 2002, and since the successful debut of her first collection, she has then found her niche in the fashion world and has never looked back. A graduate of the prestigious FIT, Vivia has built for herself a lucrative brand in Europe and Asia that has all the essentials of the modern woman’s luxurious lifestyle. From footwear and handbags to clothing and accessories, Vivia Ferragamo combines her creations with the meticulous detailing found in grandfather Salvatore’s workmanship with a fresh perspective of her own.
The new collection, named after her is inspired by the woman who “is at home with the world, very sophisticated yet playful and confident” — finding herself in the cosmopolitan streets of Berlin.
“Berlin symbolizes modern freshness, a vanguard notion and streetwise class,” she explains. This vision translates into a perfect storm of edgy leather separates, chalet-ready knits and gladiator-detail boots complete with her grandfather’s signature wedge heel.
