Select YSL Pieces Set For Auction
|
On July 2, select pieces by late designer Yves Saint Laurent will be auctioned off at Christie’s, just a month after the iconic French designer’s passing. There is much ado about the signature belongings of the famed persona, because his death had spurned an endearing display of affection by all die-hard YSL fans. The auction is expected to bring in collectors and fashionistas worldwide.
Christie’s will be assisting in selling off a total of 7 lots containing jewelry and clothing, representing almost every decade in YSL’s career. Although the pieces are genuinely YSL, the prices are not as expensive as brand new items since they all depict designs from previous eras and have also already been used. YSL devotees should check out the hot items now. Pictured above is the pair of YSL mosaic multi color glass stone ear clips from the late 1980’s with the clasp stamped YSL. Estimated at $800 - $1200.
