Skinny Jeans: Is It Time To Say Goodbye?

Pictured above is the new jeans collection from Prada, luxe fashion designer and international trendsetter. Looks like the skinnies are slowing exiting the catwalk spotlight, as brand labels have begun to think enough of them. The emerging patterns are those of flares and bell bottoms but with Prada, comes an interesting mix of fabric and prints.
I am still speculating on this new trend - as you can see, it is not for the conservative fashionista. But hey, it’s a great change and I would love to get into those flares, if only i was gifted with legs that stretch for a mile! I hate to part with my reliable skinnies for now.

Meanwhile, the new D&G denim collection is not as adventurous as that of Prada. The stone-washed effect reminds me so much of the acid-washed jeans back in the 80’s, though now more appealing in its cut. Generally, these are more ‘wearable’ and requires a lot less courage. They look amazing when paired with animal print tops, as seen above.
