The Jelly shoe of the 80s is making a come back. This summer, JuJu Jellies - the original pioneers of the Jelly shoe being reintroduced by several luxury brands. Givenchy, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Fendi are all offering Jelly shoes for summer, with the luxury price tag to match. JuJu’s shoes feature fashion and fun, with a retro twist and in a ray of brights. The latest ranges for the summer include a variety of jellies - all lightweight, flexible and versatile, bringing a modern quirky twist to a retro shoe. Prices for Jelly shoes start from £10 and the Wellies are available from £30. The JuJu Jelly shoes are currently stocked at Qube, Sole Trader, Office and Schuh and Selected Topshop.
Based in Northampton Rushton Ablett has been producing the JuJu Jelly since 1986 when they produced and sold up to 70,000 pairs a week. The original style - the ‘Fergie’ - sold over 2 million pairs. They have continued to sell plastic shoes and boots for the children and women’s market for over 20 years.
