(NEW YORK) Thomas Pink has teamed up with rising young designer Richard Nicoll to create an exclusive women’s capsule collection. The Richard Nicoll for Pink capsule collection of shirts, skirts and dresses will hit stores at the end of August. In addition, Nicoll has taken on a design consulting role for the 24-year old brand–a fitting new position, given his reputation as being the “king of the blouse.”
The collection, whose pieces each bear a different woman’s name, ranges in price from $195 for the Sam miniskirt to $500 for a dress (Ruth, Robyn, or Sophie). Other pieces include shirts for $350, a knee length skirt for $250, and a Heather dress for $395.
Nicoll, a graduate of Central Saint Martins, was first hired by Marc Jacobs as a freelance consultant at Louis Vuitton. He showed his first collection for Spring 2005 in London. Lauded by the international community, Nicoll is no stranger to accolades. He’s already received the prestigious “Fashion Forward” sponsorship award for the second consecutive season in 2007, and was named Best Young Designer at the Elle 2008 Style Awards during February’s London Fashion Week.
