Winter showstoppers: Over-The-Knee Boots

I love the holidays and the winter season. This is the time where loads of boots can be seen everywhere. I specifically adore the over-the-knee boots or with knee-high length. They look smashing whether over tights, minis or dresses. However, take an extra care when you decide to wear them. You would not want to end up having that “Pretty Woman” slutty look.

The one from Fendi is a must-have this season. This brown suede has 5 inch heels to give a towering look and the 1 inch platform was just enough to make it stable. The metallic detail gives it a little edge and the elastic panel on top helps to make it more comfortable. I am kind of wondering if they have something in white or blue. A pair is just around £794.72 at NetPorter.com.

With just about the same amount you can also get this Brian Atwood over-the-knee black boots. You can wear it over jeans or mini dresses. It also has an almond toe shape but they are a little bit shorter, it only comes with 3.5 inch heels.

The  £998 leatherette wedge over the knee boots by Stella McCartney is a favorite. It comes in brown and gray. It has 5 inch wooden wedge heel with a pointed toe to make it look fierce. What makes it different is the sheepskin detail on top. You can practically wear them with anything but it looks perfect on light dresses.

However, if those prices are beyond your budget, check out this suede Chinese Laundry over-the-knee gray boots. They are quite the same with what Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively wore as Serena Van Der Woodsen. You can wear it almost with anything while having fun around the city…xo xo.
